Guests are welcomed in Kigali by their professional guide and depart on a scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park, located in Rwanda’s southwest.
En route, enjoy sweeping views of terraced hills, rural villages, and possibly a visit to King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza or Ethnographic Museum in Huye (optional). Upon arrival, check in to your forest lodge and relax with the cool misty air of the rainforest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Start the day early with a chimpanzee trekking excursion, guided by experienced rangers. Hike through the dense jungle to track chimpanzees as they forage, play, and communicate in their natural habitat. The forest is also home to colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and hundreds of bird species. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and leisure. After breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. This scenic drive offers spectacular views of Lake Kivu, the Virunga volcano chain, and Rwanda’s lush countryside. Rise early for the unforgettable experience of gorilla trekking. After a briefing at the park headquarters, guests are grouped and assigned to one of the habituated gorilla families. Trekking through forested slopes and bamboo-covered terrain, the hike may take 2–6 hours depending on the group’s location. Spend one magical hour observing the gorillas up close. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Enjoy your final evening in the mountains with dinner and overnight stay.
